As tough as business may be at home, it can be terrific abroad.

That seems to be the philosphy of JZMK Partners, an Irvine, CA. architecture firm whose international marketing approach was cited recently in the Wall Street Journal.

The firm now gets 78% of its revenue from places like China, Dubai and South America, according to the article.

That, after it began selling home designs in China six years ago following a inquiry from that country about the designs featured on the company’s website.

To offset the slowdown at home, the company reaches out to an international audience by sending employes overseas to network and speak at conferences, and by forging partnerships with architects in other nations.

The growth in international sales has helped the company and its 35 employes hold their  own, according to Eric Zuziak, JZMK’s principal and design director.

Credit JZMK’s website (www.jzmkpartners.com ) for paving the way for its international business.

It speaks to the power and potential of getting your website right.
