An "Attaboy" from Abbey
From Boston, a boost for our blog.
Boston designer Abbey Koplovitz had some nice feedback on InteriorDesignBusiness.net, and some intereting perspectives on our industry. I thought I’d pass them on…
Hi Fred,
I just wanted to thank you for your excellent coverage about the design business and the economy.
I think the Dali Lama once said something to the effect that it *feels* better to be positive. So I appreciate all your great ideas about how to succeed in this economy. I am no longer calling it a bad economy, by the way, I am just calling it “this economy”. Again feels better.
We are lucky in Boston that the economy is rather diverse and many of my clients, are not in risk of losing their jobs. The housing market has not taken the turn that it has in other parts of the country but people are worried because of what they see and hear on TV and in the news.
Some comfortable communities where my clients live are holding. Some are still up. Some are down only slightly, like 5%. So we’ll see. But I am in this career the long haul and I hope to work in it until I can no longer work, so I am going to try some of the things you suggest that I have never tried and see how they go.
Thanks again,
AK
